A TOP QUALITY Walliserops trifurcatus trilobite, the "trident Comura". Walliserops trifurcatus is an unusual looking species with three rows of of spines run down its back and a trident-like fork extending from the front of the cephalon. Excellent completeness and preservation. Great natural black shell with excellent luster. A very difficult species to prepare. Excellent shell and spine preservation. Compound eyes are very good. Good size. A rare species! Baenidae were freshwater aquatic turtles that lived amongst the dinosaurs and are found in the Hell Creek formation. This shell has incredible surface quality with excellent color and patina. This shell is 100% complete (both the carapace & plastron), fully inflated, and nicely articulated. A Top Quality, Triceratops horridus brow horn from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. An April Fossil of the Month. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell and Lance Creek Formations. This is an excellent horn with detail preserved with good color and natural patina. Great surface articulation. You can see the natural blood grooves around the surface of the horn. The back end of the horn is cleaned out (photo 4). You can see that this horn is essentially complete to the skull attachment. The preparation of the horn was fairly basic and simple with minor crack repair and minor restoration (<10%). It comes with the custom steel stand as shown. A Top Quality Triceratops horridus nasal horn section from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek and Lance Creek formations which is know for three horns and the large frill protecting its neck. A complete nasal horn. This is an excellent nasal horn with good detail preserved. You can see the natural blood grooves around the surface of the horn and the skull bone is attached to the rear of the horn. The base of this horn shows great articulation of the skull  bone. There is some crack fill and minor restoration (<10%). It comes with a sturdy custom steel stand as shown.
