This crab is from the famous Solnhofen limestone quarry with the highest perservation. Upper Jurassic age - 155 million years old. It makes an incredible display. Slab size is 18.5" x 11.5". A Top Quality Eurypterus lacustris, the "Sea Scorpion", from Lang's Quarry, Herkimer Co., New York. A July Fossil of the Month. This is a spooky looking arthropod with large claws that are related to arachnids, such as, the Horseshoe crab. A complete specimen that is perfectly displayed on shale matirx. The New York state fossil. It was found in the Fiddler Green Fm., Phelps Member of western New York and it is Upper Silurian age (420 mya). No repair or restoration. A Devonian sea floor slab with a Eldredgops (Phacops) rana milleri trilobite from the Silica Shale Formation of Ohio. The also three large pyrite replaced Paraspirifer bownockeri brachiopods, three Mucrospirifer mucronatus brachiopods, and other specimens. The Eldredgops has excellent detail on the compound eyes - very well preserved. The quality of the Silica Shale Fm. fossils are incredible. A rare sea floor specimen from the Middle Devonian (380 mya), Silica Shale Fm. from Lucas Co., Ohio. You don't see multi-species slabs for sale. A Museum Quality specimen.
