Overview

A Top Quality Eurypterus lacustris, the "Sea Scorpion", from Lang's Quarry, Herkimer Co., New York. A July Fossil of the Month. This is a spooky looking arthropod with large claws that are related to arachnids, such as, the Horseshoe crab. A complete specimen that is perfectly displayed on shale matirx. The New York state fossil. It was found in the Fiddler Green Fm., Phelps Member of western New York and it is Upper Silurian age (420 mya). No repair or restoration. Looks great in every fossil collection. One on my favorite fossils. Authenticity guaranteed. An exceptional display piece!  Note - This item weighs 2.75 lbs and an international shipping surcharge will apply to "free shipping".
