A LARGE, Top Quality Baena hatcheri - Baenidae Turtle shell, a Baenidae turtle, from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. A May Fossil of the Month. Baenidae were freshwater aquatic turtles that lived amongst the dinosaurs and are found in the Hell Creek formation. This shell has incredible surface quality with excellent color and patina. This shell is 100% complete (both the carapace & plastron), fully inflated, and nicely articulated. The right side has some compression, but it is complete. No repair or restoration. Minor crack fill. Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Powder River Co., Montana. An ULTRA RARE, Top Quality Hexanchus griseus symphyseal tooth from the Caldera Basin of Chile. A May Fossil of ther Month. This is a slightly pathologic lower symphyseal jaw tooth with 7 large primary cusps on the left side and small cusps on the right side. Superb preservation and color. No repair or restoration. An excellent root - very unique & extremely difficult to find!  Authenticity guaranteed. Unfortunately there are no more teeth coming from this site. A VERY RARE, Top Quality Hexanchus griseus tooth from the Caldera Basin of Chile. This is complete lower jaw tooth with a unique pathology. Superb preservation and color. Ten primary cusps fully formed on the left and nine cusps on the right. Very unusual. No repair or restoration. A Top Quality Chilean Hexanchus griseus upper jaw tooth from the Caldera Basin of Chile. This tooth with four perfect cusps. Excellent preservation and fantastic color. This specimen is displayed on its original matrix with a well preserved tuna vertabra. No repair. These tooth was found in the Bahia Inglesa Fm. and is late Miocene to early Pliocene age.
