An EXTRA LARGE ultra rare, Top Quality Red Site Otodus megalodon tooth from the Meherrin River, North Carolina. An April Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon is a BIG upper jaw anterior tooth from the Meherrin River copper-red site. Excellent copper red color. The enamel is the highest quality. The serrations are large, razor sharp, and essentially complete with a good tip serration. Bourlette is extra large and brown - dentin layer. The root is wide & complete. A Miocene Meg tooth. Note - the front center strip of enamel was restored (high point of the tooth only). Excellent copper color. The enamel is the highest quality. The serrations are extra large and razor sharp. Note - The cutting edge also has multiple enamel waves - very cool - see photo. Bourlette is lighter brown and 80% complete. The root is extra wide & complete with large grooves on the root lobes. This is defintely a Miocene Meg tooth. Note - the tip only was restored. A LARGE, well preserved horse lower jaw (Equus sp. ) from northern Florida.  The horse arrived in North America during the late Pliocene and became extinct at the end of the Pleistocene. A nearly complete Lower jaw with 6 top quality molar teeth. Very well fossilized specimen. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. My best horse jaw!
