A rare, Top Quality pair of associated Denversaurus osteoderms (bony armor plate) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. An August Fossil of the Month. Ankylosaurus and Denversaurus, a Nodosaur, were the two Ankylosaurs present in the Hell Creek and Lance Creek Formations. Two complete, associated osteoderms from the Nodosaur neck area (see photo of the HMNS Denversaurus skeleton). One osteoderm is a keel type and the second osteoderm is a peripherial edge type. You won't see these osteoderms very often. The bone is very good quality with great color and patina. Some crack fill. No restoration.
