This tusk is a manageable size at 44” straight line measurement (56" on the curve / 40" minimum display length as shown). It is a tusk of a younger mammoth which lived in the late Pleistocene Ice Age some 30,000 plus years ago.     An Ultra Rare, rooted Top Quality Allosaurus fragilis tooth measuring 3-1/4". This Allosaurus crown measures 1-3/8" and is wide for its size (11/16"). This tooth is still inflated. The enamel is high quality. Great rich brown color. Excellent serrations on both sides all the way to the tip. Exceptional serrations for a large tooth. Root cracks were stabilized. A small tip repair was done by George Heslep. Excellent overall condition with very good serrations. An excellent quality tooth! Enamel wall is thick from an adult Rex. The enamel is very good quality. Great dark chocolate brown color. This tooth was ingested and has minor pitting on the enamel and some serration reduction. The serrations are worn, but visible. The tip area had a "sliver" break that impacts top 1/2" on one side only. An excellent large Rex tooth!  T-Rex was the apex during the late Cretaceous with massive teeth capable of crushing its prey.
