A LARGE, Top Quality Baena hatcheri - Baenidae Turtle shell, a Baenidae turtle, from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. A May Fossil of the Month. Baenidae were freshwater aquatic turtles that lived amongst the dinosaurs and are found in the Hell Creek formation. This shell has incredible surface quality with excellent color and patina. This shell is 100% complete (both the carapace & plastron), fully inflated, and nicely articulated. The right side has some compression, but it is complete. No repair or restoration. Minor crack fill. Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Powder River Co., Montana. An ULTRA RARE, Top Quality Hexanchus griseus symphyseal tooth from the Caldera Basin of Chile. A May Fossil of ther Month. This is a slightly pathologic lower symphyseal jaw tooth with 7 large primary cusps on the left side and small cusps on the right side. Superb preservation and color. No repair or restoration. An excellent root - very unique & extremely difficult to find!  Authenticity guaranteed. Unfortunately there are no more teeth coming from this site. This rare piece is from an old collection.

A rare, Top Quality, Echinorhinus blakei tooth (Bramble shark) from the Bahia Iglesa Fm. of Chile. A May Fossil of the Month. This tooth is exceptionally clean and sharp with all cusps present. This Bramble shark tooth is from a late Miocene deposit. Beautiful color and fantastic preservation! Authenticity guaranteed. A difficult to find species. My best remaining Bramble tooth.

A rare, TOP QUALITY, Extra LargeTriceratops horridus hoof core (pes claw) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. A world class specimen. An April Fossil of the Month. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation which is known for three horns and a large frill protecting its neck. This adult hoof core has exceptional detail preserved and excellent color & patina. A WORLD CLASS size. Note -Triceratops hoof cores are generally smaller than Hadrosaur, have a very rugous surface, have a characteristeristic "shallow ledge" covering 40% of the under side, have less height than Hadrosaur, and are much more difficult to find. This hoof core has the correct features, is fantastically preserved, and has incredible size. One crack. No restoration. Legally collected on private land in Garfield Co., Montana. A Top Quality, Triceratops horridus brow horn from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. An April Fossil of the Month. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell and Lance Creek Formations. This is an excellent horn with detail preserved with good color and natural patina. Great surface articulation. You can see the natural blood grooves around the surface of the horn. The preparation of the horn was fairly basic and simple with minor crack repair and minor restoration (<10%). It comes with the custom steel stand as shown. A rare Top Quality Triceratops horridus dorsal vertebra from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. An April Fossil of the Month. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation which is known for three horns and a large frill protecting its neck. This is a dorsal vertebra with exceptional detail preserved with good color and patina. Complete specimen. You can see the vertebra surface is very rugous with a very round centra which are characteristics of Triceratops and distinguishes it from a Hadrosaur. Triceratops bones are more difficult to find. This specimen has some cracks filled. No restoration. It is extremely rare to find vertebra that are complete. Legally collected on private land in Harding Co., South Dakota. An ultra rare, TOP Quality LARGE (~4") Tyrannosaurus rex rooted maxillary tooth. An April Fossil of the Month. The enamel color and patina is exceptional. Flawless with few, very small vertical hydration cracks. Excellent mesial and distal serrations. Base cross-section is a tall oval - wide (1-1/8"). A thick and heavy tooth. The tip was restored.
