This Megalodon tooth has an incredible light tan colored crown with peach highlights on the display side and red highlights on the reverse. Highest quality enamel with no hydration cracks. The bourlette is large, white color, and perfect. Note - tooth was recovered years ago from an old quarry that produced colorful teeth. Fantastic color! The serrations are razor sharp and essentially complete. Excellent serrations overall. The root is extra wide and exceptional with a golden color and no hydration cracks. Note - this tooth has professional restoration on tip area only. Otherwise a perfect tooth. Excellent symmetry. This Megalodon was found in a commercial limestone quarry in the Caribbean (Miocene age). This is an incredibly colored Caribbean Megalodon tooth.     A HUGE, High Quality Tyrannosaurus rex tooth from a very large adult Rex. A June 2020 Fossil of the Month. This massive Rex crown measures 4-9/16" (straight up) or 4-7/8" (straight line) and has a big root (2" Wide). The enamel is very good quality with some root etchings. Great brown color. The serrations are worn, but visible. The tip is good. Cracks are stabilized with some crack fill. No breaks - maybe one. A natural tooth from a BIG Rex! Note - many teeth of this size that you see are heavy restored and sometimes two teeth are put together! This tooth has original enamel from tip to base. One giant crown. T-Rex was the apex during the late Cretaceous with massive teeth capable of crushing its prey. See the detailed description to determine how to tell a real T-Rex tooth! A location that produces very few Megalodon teeth and one of the toughest Megs to locate. A June 2020 Fossil of the Month. Highest quality enamel with a great light tan color with charcoal & orange highlights. There is some light mineralization on the right (display side) and a small scatter on the non-display side. Typical for many Sharktooth Hill Megs. The bourlette is composed of the dentin layer. The serrations are essentially complete with a great tip serration - incredible serrations for a BIG Sharktooth Hill Meg tooth. The root is nicely articulated and complete.     A GEM, Lee Creek Carcharocles chubutensis, a C. megalodon predecessor, from Aurora, No. Carolina. This tooth was given the name the "Oreo Chub" with its black and white bourlette. Very rare colors for Lee Creek. A May Fossil of the Month. This tooth was found in the Pungo River Formation (middle Miocene age). Note the crown exhibits large cusplike bumps at the base of the serrated edge and the root ends also show grooves where the teeth interlocked. These are characteristic traits of the Lee Creek early Meg - C. chubutensis. A gorgeous tan &  blue colored crown with an incredible black & white bourlette.
