A Top Quality, Triceratops horridus toe bone (metatarsal) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation which is known for three horns and the large frill protecting its neck. This is a great toe bone with exceptional detail preserved and good color / patina. This is the metatarsal IV bone. You can see the "mushroom" appearance of proximal ends which is a characteristic of Triceratops and distinguishes it from a Hadrosaur toe bone. Triceratops bones are more difficult to find. A Top Quality, 5-5/16" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth - upper jaw tooth. This Megalodon has an incredible tan colored crown with an excellent brown bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Exceptional color!  The serrations are razor sharp with an unique pathologic tip. Tip has a slight twist and serrations were not formed. Very strange. The root is an excellent tan color and extra wide (4-5/8") with typical hydration cracks and absolutely complete. A unique species of Chlamydoselachiform shark, the Frill shark. An August Fossil of the Month. This is a new genius of Frill shark from the Late Cretaceous deep water Northumberland Formation deposit. Another unique species of Chlamydoselachiform shark, the Frill shark. This is the largest Frill shark in the deposit with teeth over 1" tall (28.5 mm). These teeth exhibit classic Frill shark design with a central cusp flanked by two lateral cusps. Dykeius teeth are taller than wide. The crown is complete with one cusp tip reattached and the root is complete. Highest quality enamel. No repair. A Top Quality Tyrannosaur tooth from the late Cretaceous (Campanian) in northern North America. An October Fossil of the Month. Please note that this tooth could Gorgosaurus or Daspletosaurus - see Detailed Discussion below. This tooth measures 2-3/8" - an excellent Tyrannosaur tooth. The enamel is high quality with excellent color. Anterior serrations and posterior serrations are excellent. Serrated to the tip. Note - the top has some minor planting etching and there is one natural wear facet on the side (very typical for the Campanian Tyrannosaurs). No cracks, repair or restoration.
