"The Best of West Java". An ultra rare, TOP QUALITY Megalodon - upper jaw anterior tooth anterior from West Java, Indonesia. A May Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an excellent red-brown colored crown with incredible patterns and a red & gold colored bourlette ("tiger eye" pattern). Note - the darker brown shades arcing out towards the serrations - a display of the "fountain pattern" which is unique to West Java. I have never seen this color pattern in a Meg tooth before. Highest quality enamel. Fantastic color! The serrations are razor sharp with an excellent big tip serration and essentially complete. Incredible serrations for a BIG Meg tooth. The root is nicely articulated complete with some pits on the non-display side. Miocene Age. No repair or restoration. Authenticity Guaranteed. A Top Quality, 5-5/8" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth - upper jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. An October Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an incredible tan colored crown with an excellent brown bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Exceptional color!  The serrations are razor sharp. Note - three serrations at the tip were professionally restored. The root is nicely articulated with an excellent light tan color. It is also extra wide (4-5/8") with typical hydration cracks and absolutely complete. This Megalodon was found in the Pungo River Formation, Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina (Miocene age = 14.5 MYA). An excellent BIG collector's tooth from the old days at Lee Creek mine!
