An EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Tyrannosaur tooth from the late Cretaceous (Campanian) in northern North America. Please note that this tooth could Albertosaurus, Gorgosaurus or Daspletosaurus - see Detailed Discussion below. A June Fossil of the Month. This tooth measures 1-13/16" - an excellent Tyrannosaur tooth. The enamel is high quality with excellent color. Excellent anterior and posterior serrations. Serrated to the tip. Wide base at 3/4". No cracks, repair or restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Horseshoe Canyon Fm. (Horsethief Member) , Alberta, Canada. Probably an excellent Albertosaurus tooth based on size and roundness of the tooth cross-section. Authenticity guaranteed. This is my of my best Albertosaurus teeth. A very special collector's tooth. This premax (front) tooth measures 1-5/8" - an excellent Tyrannosaur tooth. The enamel is high quality with excellent color. This is a rare fully serrated premax tooth with large serrations. Serrated to the tip. Base cross-section is D shaped. Wide base at 13/16". No cracks, repair or restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Horseshoe Canyon Fm. An EXTRA LARGE, ultra rare, Top Quality Edestus heinrichi, a near complete whorl with six crowns from Herrin, Illinois. A June Fossil of the Month. This is a Paleozoic shark that lived in swamp that our now underground coal deposits. Exceptional preservation, serrations, and serration detail. The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. Research showed that they could use their opposing teeth in a scissor-like motion to cut prey. It is the first animal to cut vertically. A very strange looking and unique acting shark. This whorl is incredibly massive at 9-1/4" long and 2-3/4" height. The whorl body is incredibly perserved and is thick (1-1/16") and quite heavy. This whorl weighs 1+ pounds. The crowns are extra large at 1-3/4" wide and look fantastic. This was a large Edestus shark. Note - Four crown tips were professionally repaired which is typical for a whorl. Pennsylvanian age from Illinois. Authenticity guaranteed. The Edestus shark recreation image is credited to Julio Lacerdo. The Edestus whorls are extremely rare. This is a fantastic display piece.

Leptoceratops is a smaller "ceratopsian" dinosaur found in the Hell Creek and Lance formations. There small size and small horns made them relatively easy prey and their population size was quite small compared to other herbivores. The enamel is high quality with nice color and patina. The chewing surface is well preserved with an unusual rounded wear facet. Leptoceratops commonly have wear facets on their teeth. No cracks. No restoration. These cones were found side by side and remain on their original natural matrix. The Jurassic pine cones are exquisite and known for their highy quality and extreme preservation. America during the late Miocene age. This claw is a near complete with minor erosion along the upper edge and back end. Both areas have minor restoration. Fantastic color and preservation. An ultra rare Top Quality Stegoceras validum dome (frontoparietal skull bone) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. An April Fossil of the Month. Stegoceras is a smaller sized pachycephalosaurid dinosaur, and like Pachycephalosaurus, it is a dinosaur which is famous for its large domed head surrounded by spikes. This is excellent quality juvenile dome with good color / patina. No cracks or restoration. There is a small sheer on the left side that occured prior to fossilization since it has the natural patina. Otherwise a complete dome. An ultra rare Stegoceras dome! Legally collected on private land in the Judith River Fm., Hill Co., Montana. An excellent collector's quality Stegoceras dome. Comes with a Riker display case. Authenticity guaranteed.
