An ultra rare, TOP QUALITY, Megalodon upper jaw anterior tooth from West Java, Indonesia - new site.  This Megalodon has an incredible red - brown - lavendar colored crown and an exceptional red colored bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Excellent color! The bourlette is large and 100% complete. The serrations are razor sharp and complete (5 serrations with minor damage) with an excellent large tip serration. Exceptional serrations for a BIG Meg. The root on the display side is excellent burgundy color and on the reverse side there is some pitting which is common for these Megs. Miocene Age. No repair or restoration. Authenticity Guaranteed.     A natural Hoploscaphites nodosus ammonite and a Nautilus (Eutrephoceras) with excellent preservation of the shell material. A December Fossil of the Month. This ammonite species exhibits big ribs with large tubercles (nodes). Both ammonites are nicely displayed on their original Pierre Shale matrix with a flat base. Matrix size is 4.5" x 2.5". This ammonite is from the upper Cretaceous, Pierre Shale Fm. of So. Dakota. Authenticity guaranteed. A wonderful display piece.  Note - this specimen weighs 1.6 lbs. This species is much more rare than the Priscacara (Cockerellites) liops and exhibits larger size, larger fins, and teeth. An October Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an excellent red-brown colored crown with incredible patterns and a red & gold colored bourlette ("tiger eye" pattern). Note - the darker brown shades arcing out towards the serrations - a display of the "fountain pattern" which is unique to West Java. I have never seen this color pattern in a Meg tooth before. Highest quality enamel. Fantastic color! The serrations are razor sharp with an excellent big tip serration and essentially complete.
