A Top Quality, Triceratops horridus brow horn from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. A May Fossil of the Month. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek Formation. This is a special horn with exceptional detail preserved and excellent color & natural patina. Fantastic surface articualtion. You can see all of the natural blood grooves around the surface of the horn. Plus this horn includes most of the orbital which is quite rare - a very complete specimen. The preparation of the horn was fairly basic and simple - some minor crack fill and approximately 1" of the tip end was restored which is very minimal restoration for a horn. This is not a horn that is 20 - 30% or more putty which you most often see. It comes with a custom steel stand as shown. A fantastic fossil overall for display. An ultra rare, LARGE Top Quality Edestus heinrichi shark whorl with 7 big crowns, from Herrin, Illinois. An October Fossil of the Month. This is a Paleozoic shark that lived in swamps that our now underground coal deposits. Excellent preservation and serrations. This whorl is incredible teeth detail - the first 5 crowns are all natural and the the last two have some top repair. One of the finest whorls that I have had. The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. Research showed that they could use their opposing teeth in a scissor-like motion to cut prey. It is the first animal to cut vertically. A very strange looking and unique acting shark. Shark recreation image is credited to Julio Lacerdo. These rare teeth are Pennsylvanian age from Illinois. Note - Two crown tips were professionally retored. Authenticity guaranteed. A Quality, Megalodon tooth - an upper jaw tooth from the ACE River basin, South Carolina. An excellent Gray crown. High quality enamel. The bourlette is an excellent black color. A rare, GEM Sphyrna zygaena tooth, the Smooth Hammerhead shark, from Sumatra, Indonesia. These teeth were deposited in the Telisa formation - a shallow marine environment during the middle Miocene (approx. 15 million years ago.) A unique collector's tooth. D041 is the top quality tooth. Authenticity guaranteed.

A High Quality Thescelosaurus neglectus pes ungual (foot claw) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Thescelosaurus is a mid-sized dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. This claw is excellent quality with excellent color / patina. One crack is stabilized and the very end of the "wings" (the flat ledge below the blood groove) were filled for aesthetics - about a 1/16". Note - Thesc unguals are described as flat triangles.(see Thesc-Pachy claw differentiation discussion below). No restoration. A rare Thescelosaurus pes ungual! Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Carter Co., Montana. Excellent collector's quality Thescelosaurus claw. A GEM, Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth. It has an exceptional, rare dark BLUE colored crown with an exceptional hazel brown bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Exceptional color! This tooth is from an old collection. A fine examples of a colorful classic upper jaw anterior Lee Creek Megs considering the shape, color, and preservation. An exceptional collector's tooth from the old days at Lee Creek mine! NO repair! The BEST of the BEST! One of the finest dark Blue LC Megs that I have seen. Definitely one of my favorites.

"Flaming Red Auric"  A very rare, EXTRA LARGE Auriculatus lateral tooth with a tan crown and a gorgeous, highly articulated red colored root. The bourlette is red colored, extra large, and nearly complete. The serrations are very nice -  large, razor sharp, and complete. Massive side cusps.  Incredible preservation -  among the finest you will see with an Auriculatus. The only challenge with this tooth is the left root corner broke during extraction and was reattached. The repair work is very well done and very hard to detect (no filler).   These Peruvian Aurics are very rare.

An Ultra Rare Pappocetus lugardi (Andrews, 1920) canine tooth from Morocco. Pappocetus was in the Protocetidae family of ancient whales . Note - this tooth is a canine with a large natural wear facet. This material is a new find and represents one of the earliest transition forms of the whale. Pappocetus is a protocetid (see discussion below) and a large amphibious aquatic carnivore. Pappocetus is also an ancestor of the Basilosaurus. This material is complete and without repair. This is an opportunity to own an incredibly rare specimen from an early evolutionary stage of the modern whale. A fantastic collector's specimen. Authenticity guaranteed.
