A GEM, Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth. It has an exceptional, rare dark BLUE colored crown with an exceptional hazel brown bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Exceptional color! This tooth is from an old collection. A fine examples of a colorful classic upper jaw anterior Lee Creek Megs considering the shape, color, and preservation. An exceptional collector's tooth from the old days at Lee Creek mine! NO repair! The BEST of the BEST! One of the finest dark Blue LC Megs that I have seen. Definitely one of my favorites.

The second February 2015 Week #3 "Fossil Shark Tooth of the Month" selection is a GEM, Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth. It has an exceptional, rare dark BLUE colored crown with an exceptional hazel brown bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Exceptional color! The bourlette is incredible and near perfect. The serrations are very large and razor sharp and 100% complete with a "needle like" tip. Exceptional serrations! The root is an excellent brown color and complete.  Excellent anterior symmetry! This Megalodon was found in the Pungo River Formation, Lee Creek mine, NC (Miocene age = 15 MYA).
