An incredible Top Quality Megalodon tooth from Georgia and a June 2018 Fossil of the Month. The crown has a fantastic charcoal gray with light gray and black serrations. The crown also has a very unique wide” spade-like” shape. The enamel is the Highest Quality; glass-like with few hydration cracks! An exceptional, extra large black bourlette – nearly perfect. Razor sharp serrations including an exceptional tip serration. Nearly perfect serrations! The root is nicely articulated, brown colored, and complete. This Georgia Meg is very special – a real “looker”. Definitely a Miocene age Meg tooth with small Chubutensis like bumps at the base of the crown and grooves along the edge of the root lobes. A HUGE, TOP QUALITY Spinosaurus aegyptiacus tooth from the Kem-Kem region of Morocco. An October Fossil of the Month. High quality enamel with well preserved and pronounced grooves running up the crown. Little crown tip wear for a big tooth. A fantastic deep red patina - rare color for a Spino tooth, and the surface has a drusy crystalline appearance - very nice and very rare. Plus this is an extra thick BIG Spino tooth that would have been easily 1-1/2" thick at the base - see photo. One of the fattest Spino teeth that I have seen. No cracks. A Top Quality Tyrannosaurus rex tooth. This is a large Premaxillary tooth ("Premax") or front tooth in the jaw which have a "D" shape. An October Fossil of the Month. This Premax Rex crown measures 2-3/16" and is very thick for its size (1"). The enamel is highest quality. Great rich chocolate brown color. The serrations are exceptional going to the tip. There is essentially no wear facet at the tip which is not typical for a Premax tooth. One small crack, but no break. No repair or restoration. An ultra rare, top quality 4-1/8" Sharktooth Hill Megalodon tooth found in the Round Mountain Silt near Bakersfield, California. A location that produces very few Megalodon teeth and one of the toughest Megs to locate. A November 2019 Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon tooth remains on the original matrix block which includes two whale bones - all original as found! Highest quality enamel with a great light tan color. The bourlette is a slightly darker light tan and essentially complete. The root is nicely articulated and complete. A GEM, Lee Creek Carcharocles chubutensis, a C. megalodon predecessor, from Aurora, No. Carolina. This tooth was given the name the "Oreo Chub" with its black and white bourlette. Very rare colors for Lee Creek. A May Fossil of the Month. This tooth was found in the Pungo River Formation (middle Miocene age). Note the crown exhibits large cusplike bumps at the base of the serrated edge and the root ends also show grooves where the teeth interlocked. These are characteristic traits of the Lee Creek early Meg - C. chubutensis. A gorgeous tan &  blue colored crown with an incredible black & white bourlette. Fantastic serrations with a nearly perfect with damage to one. The root is dark brown with small hydration cracks. Highest quality enamel! Excellent color! No repair or restoration. "The Best of West Java".  An ultra rare EXTRA LARGE, TOP QUALITY 6-1/16" Megalodon - upper jaw tooth from West Java, Indonesia. A January Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an excellent tan & light red-brown and tan & brown bourlette color. The back of the crown has incredible color patterning. Highest quality enamel. Exceptional color! The bourlette is large and 98% complete. The serrations are razor sharp and complete with an excellent "needle-like" tip serration. Note the two large cutting edge waves at the base of the crown. A GEM, 5-1/4" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth - ANTERIOR tooth. Our August 2017 Fossil of the Month.
