A TOP QUALITY very rare Parotodus benedeni tooth from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Lateral tooth. The crown has extremely sharp cutting edges. Excellent light tan color with a light tan root and bourlette. The root is ~11/16" thick and shows typical hydration cracks. This Parotodus tooth was found in the Yorktown Formation (Pliocene age). A rare LARGE, Top Quality Otodus sokolovi tooth from Boujdour, Western Sahara, Morocco. Enamel quality is excellent with an excellent large bourlette. The serrations are very sharp with a samll amount of damage including a partial tip serration. The side cusps are complete with uniform serrations - (a younger sokolovi version). The root is massive and complete. Exceptional preservation. This tooth is a Late Eocene age, Aridal Formation (approx. 42 million years ago). No repair or restoration! Authenticity guaranteed.

An EXTRA LARGE, HIGH QUALITY Megalodon - upper jaw tooth from West Java, Indonesia. This Megalodon has an excellent tan colored crown with red-brown highlights and a large golden tan colored bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Excellent color! A Very Rare, Top Quality Notidanodon pectinatus tooth from Hornby Island, British Columbia, Canada. An August Fossil of the Month. This genius is from the Late Cretaceous deep water Northumberland Formation deposit. A unique species of Hexanchiforme shark. The crown is complete with 8 cusplets (1 damaged) and the root is complete (cracked).  High quality enamel. No repair. A very rare, Top Quality Edestus heinrichi shark tooth, from Herrin, Illinois. An October Fossil of the Month. This is a Paleozoic shark that lived in swamps that our now underground coal deposits. Two crown specimen. Excellent preservation and serrations. Extra large root size! The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. Research showed that they could use their opposing teeth in a scissor-like motion to cut prey. It is the first animal to cut vertically. A very strange looking and unique acting shark. Shark recreation image is credited to Julio Lacerdo. These rare teeth are Pennsylvanian age from Illinois. Crown tops are repaired. Authenticity guaranteed.
