Buried Treasure Fossils offers exceptional Otodus Shark Teeth from the Otodus obliquus, one of the earliest mackerel sharks. As the apex predator of the early Eocene (approximately 50 million years ago), this shark is renowned for its teeth, which feature wide triangular crowns and distinct large side cusps.
While Otodus fossils are a staple for collectors, finding extraordinary, large (3"+) specimens in pristine condition is difficult. Many teeth on the market are damaged during crude extraction and suffer from poor repairs or reattached parts. We have painstakingly curated our inventory to offer only the finest examples—showy, large teeth free from the "remanufactured" quality standard elsewhere. A HUGE Top Quality, Otodus obliquus tooth from the Khouribga phosphate mining area of Morocco. A BIG anterior tooth with an extra wide crown. This tooth has an excellent golden tan color and a white root. Sharp edges and tip. The side cusps are complete. A massive, thick root. Right root lobe appears to be reattached. Great color! One of the earliest ancestors of the Megalodon. An excellent collector's quality tooth. Authenticity guaranteed. You rarely see a top quality tooth this large!
