A Top Quality Alethopteris sp. - fossil fern display piece from St. Clair, Pennsylvania. A December Fossil of the Month. Alethopteris is an extinct genus of primitive seed fern that evolved during the Pennsylvanian Period. This specimen is well preserved with white colored ferns on a near black colored shale matrix. This white coating is a characteristic of the mineral pyrophyllite. The St. Clair area is known for their white ferns on black matrix. Pennsylvanian age. (300 mya). It weighs 16.8 pounds. A Quality Iguanodon bernissartensis vertebra, an early Cretaceous herbivore from the Isle of Wright, UK. This vertebra is highly mineralized and quite heavy. Great rich dark brown color. No repair or restoration. Legally collected in the Wessex Fm., Isle of Wright. A LARGE, Top Quality Edmontosaurus annectens tooth from the late Cretaceous of North America. Edmontosaurus is a very large hadrosaur or "duck-bill" dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. A Very Rare, Top Quality Hexanchus sp. lower jaw tooth from the Englishman River, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. This is a new and undescribed genius / species from a Santonian (Late Cretaceous) deposit - 85 MMYA. A very unique species of Hexanchiforme shark. The crown is complete (6 cusps) and the root is complete. High quality enamel. No repair. A very difficult tooth to locate and an excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed. A rare,Top Quality Suwanee Auriculatus tooth from the Santa Fe River, northern Florida. An exceptional upper jaw lateral tooth. Gorgeous tan colored crown with a brown colored bourlette, and brown root. Highest quality enamel. Excellent color & preservation. The serrations are large and sharp with a slightly damaged tip serration. The root is complete. It is very hard to find these teeth in perfect condition.
