A Top Quality, 5-5/8" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth - upper jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. An October Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an incredible tan colored crown with an excellent brown bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Exceptional color! The serrations are razor sharp. Note - three serrations at the tip were professionally restored. The root is nicely articulated with an excellent light tan color. It is also extra wide (4-5/8") with typical hydration cracks and absolutely complete. This Megalodon was found in the Pungo River Formation, Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina (Miocene age = 14.5 MYA). An excellent BIG collector's tooth from the old days at Lee Creek mine!
