An ultra rareTenontosaurus tilletti "chest" consisting of the scapula, 13 ribs, and 6 vertebra as found on its original Cloverly Formation matrix. A March Fossil of the Month. Tenontosaurus is an early Cretaceous basal iguanodontid dinosaur, and it was the primary prey for Deinonychus. This specimen was prepared to thoroughly expose the chest area bones. Bones were exposed 2" above the matrix which makes a great 3D display. Minor crack fill. The ribs are as found with no extra fill used. No restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Clovery Fm., Carbon Co., Montana. Authenticity guaranteed. A very rare collector's display piece. You don't see Tenontosaurus fossils very often. The enamel is highest quality. Excellent black color. Excellent extra large posterior and anterior serrations. Note - the anterior carina end about 2/3 of the way down from the tip.
