A LARGE, Top Quality four piece Hadrosaur toe from the late Cretaceous of North America. This hadrosaur or "duck-bill" dinosaur was found in the Horseshoe Canyon Formation in Alberta. This is a non-associated set of toe bones from the outer toe (toe 3 - see diagram), and it consists of three toe bones (Phalanx 1 to 3) and a pes hoof core (ungual). Bone quality is very good. These pieces are a very good fit including a very good pes ungual. No restoration. An EXTRA LARGE, High Quality Denversaurus schlessmani osteoderm (bony armor plate) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. An August Fossil of the Month. Denversaurus schlessmani was the Nodosaur which grew to 20 feet and 6000 pounds, and a body covered with this heavy bony armor. Nodosaur armor plates are thicker than the Ankylosaur plates. A complete body osteoderm plate from an adult Denversaurus. The bone is excellent quality with excellent color / patina. No cracks or restoration. A rare Top Quality Camarasaurus metatarsal bone from the Morrison Fm. This juvenile Camarasaurus metatarsal measures 4-7/8". The bone is high quality. Excellent brown color and patina. Great overall condition with no restoration. Just basic crack fill. Camarasaurus was a medium-sized sauropod that lived during the late Jurassic. A LARGE, High Quality Ankylosaurus osteoderm (bony armor plate) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Ankylosaurus magniventris was the largest Ankylosaur which grew to 30 feet and 17000 pounds, and a body covered with this bony armor. A very rare Top Quality Struthiomimus altus foot (pes) claw (from toe III) from the late Cretaceous of North America. A December Fossil of the Month. Struthiomimus is a long legged, bipedal, toothless dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. The Struthiomimus means "ostrich mimic" which best describes this species. Excellent bone quality and color. The claw is complete with some natural wear. Excellent bone preservation. No repair or restoration. A Top Quality, Triceratops horridus toe bone (metatarsal) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek and Lance Creek formations which is know for three horns and the large frill protecting its neck. This is a great toe bone with excellent detail preserved and good color / patina. This is the metatarsal III bone. You can see the "mushroom" appearance of proximal ends which is a characteristic of Triceratops and distinguishes it from a Hadrosaur toe bone. Triceratops bones are more difficult to find. There is is a small amount of restoration on the lower condyle and normal crack fill. Legally collected on private land in Garfield Co., Montana. Authenticity guaranteed. A rare LARGE , Top Quality Edmontosaurus annectens hoof core (toe or pes ungual) from the late Cretaceous of North America. An April Fossil of the Month. Edmontosaurus is a very large hadrosaur or "duck-bill" dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. This is a toe hoof core from an adult Edmontosaurus. The Edmontosaurus was bipedal and had much larger feet relative to hands. Bone quality and color excellent. No repair or restoration. A Top Quality Pachychephalosaurus wyomingensis pes ungual (foot claw) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Pachychephalosaurus is the dinosaur which is famous for its large domed head surrounded by spikes. This ungual has excellent color and patina. Complete and well preserved with slight tip wear. A LARGE, Top Quality Tyrannosaur tooth from the late Cretaceous (Campanian) in northern North America. Please note that this tooth could Albertosaurus, Gorgosaurus or Daspletosaurus - see Detailed Discussion below. This tooth measures 1-5/8" - an excellent Tyrannosaur tooth. The enamel is high quality with excellent color. Anterior serrations are good and posterior serrations are excellent. Serrated to the tip. Wide base (5/8"). No cracks, repair or restoration.
