A LARGE, well preserved horse lower jaw section (Equus sp. ) from northern Florida.  The horse arrived in North America during the late Pliocene and became extinct at the end of the Pleistocene. A HUGE, Top Quality Ptychodus mammillaris, an extinct durophagous (shell-crushing) shark, tooth from Dallas Co., Texas. An excellent example of this Upper Cretaceous Kamp Ranch Fm. tooth. These massive teeth have a design with strong transverse ridges across the cusp that transition to a concentric pattern at the base of the cusp. Authenticity guaranteed. Note - one margin has a natural crack which contains matrix within it and the root structure is missing. This is a rare species and a suer rare size - this specimen exceeds the maximum size recorded for Texas!

An ultra rare, Top Quality Hexanchus tusbairicus, Six-gill Cow shark, tooth from Kert, Kazakhstan. This lower jaw tooth has ten primary cusps. An Eocene (Bartonian), Shorym Fm. Cow shark species. The Kazakh Hexanchus tusbairicus teeth are quite rare and excellent examples are hard to locate. Authenticity guaranteed. Note - root has been reattached. Old collection material. A LARGE, ultra rare, GEM Trigonotodus serratus shark tooth, the extinct serrated Giant Thresher from southern Virginia. Our last January 2018 Fossil of the Month offering. Fantastic copper red color. An ULTRA RARE Top Quality, 6-1/4" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth - upper jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. A February Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an incredible light tan colored crown with brown bourlette, and light tan root. Highest quality enamel. Fantastic color!  The serrations are razor sharp and essentially complete including an excellent tip serration. Incredible serrations for a BIG Megalodon tooth. The bourlette has a nice contrast -  mostly dentin layer. The root is nicely articulated and complete with an excellent light tan color. It is also wide (4-5/8") with essentially no hydration cracks. This Megalodon was found in the Yorktown Formation, Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina (Pliocene age = 4.5 MYA). An excellent BIG collector's tooth from the old days at Lee Creek mine!
