A TOP QUALITY, Lee Creek Carcharocles chubutensis, a C. megalodon predecessor, from Aurora, No. Carolina. A posterior tooth. This tooth was found in the Pungo River Formation (middle Miocene age). Note the crown exhibits large cusplike bumps at the base of the serrated edge and the root ends also show grooves where the teeth interlocked. These are characteristic traits of the Lee Creek early Meg - C. chubutensis. A gorgeous tan colored crown with an excellent brown bourlette. Great serrations. The root is brown with a small hydration crack. High quality enamel! Great color! No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed.

A Top Quality, CLASSIC Bone Valley Megalodon tooth from Venice, Florida. Our last Fossil of the Month offering for December. A TOP QUALITY, EXTRA LARGE & very rare Archaeocete whale, Zygorhiza kochii. Our November Fossil of the Month is a highly desirable Zygorhiza molar or "yoke" tooth.  An exceptional light brown colored crown and tan root. Nicely articulated. Complete root. This tooth has minimal repair to 2nd & 4th cusp on the left side and a small amount to the 4th cusp on the right side. Very little repair overall for a yoke tooth which are typically heavily repaired.  The BEST Archaeocete molar that I have seen from So. Carolina in a long time. A very rare collector's tooth. Possible relative to Richardoestesia, but different from typical Late Cretaceous species. No repair or restoration. An Extra Large, TOP QUALITY, 3" Carcharodon (Isurus) hastalis tooth with an excellent blue & tan colored crown. A March Fossil of the Month. This is a natural matrix specimen sitting with many whale bones in the original Round Mountain Silt matrix block. The large whale bone at base is 5-3/4" x 3". Plus there are four more whale bones and a shark vertebra exposed in this matrix block. This is a 100% natural matrix piece - nothing added or glued. 100% natural.
