An ultra rare, Osteodontornis orri, the Giant Bony Tooth Bird, jaw from the Sharktooth Hill area, near Bakersfield, California. A February Fossil of the Month. Note - this specimen remains on its original Round Mountain silt matrix. Excellent preservation and gorgeous color. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. An extremely rare articulated specimen. A rare find for Sharktooth Hill, and a very special display piece!

This tooth is displayed on its original Round Mountain silt matrix along with a Hastalis tooth. Beautiful white crown with an excellent tan colored root. The whitest natural color you can get at Sharktooth Hill. Excellent preservation. A Middle Miocene age tooth. Incredible color!  An excellent collector's Mako tooth. Authenticity guaranteed. The crown enamel has very good luster and very sharp edges. Highest quality enamel. Note -  a small (~1/16") tip repair was professionally done. No restoration. An extremely difficult tooth to locate! Authenticity guaranteed. One of the rarest P. benedeni teeth.

This tooth has a highly desirable light tan enamel and a very massive root. This Parotodus benedeni tooth remains mounted on the original Round Mountain Silt matrix and it is sitting on a chunk of whale bone. The crown enamel has very good luster and very sharp edges. Highest quality enamel! Note -  a small (~1/8") tip repair was professionally done.  A very difficult tooth to locate and an EXCEPTIONAL Collector's tooth! Authenticity guaranteed.  One of the rarest P. benedeni teeth. This incredible display piece came out of a 25 year old old collection.
