Chile Fossil Shark Teeth
Buried Treasure Fossils offers incredible shark teeth from the Caldera phosphate mining area of the Atacama Desert, near Copiapo in north central Chile. They date from lower Pliocene Bahia Inglesa Formation to the upper Miocene (approx. 4-6 million years ago). The shark teeth exhibit fantastic coloration, preservation, and condition. The C. hubbelli serrations are full at the base of the cutting edge, transition to fine serrations at mid crown and disappear towards the tip. Note this this centrum is 3-5/8" wide and 1-1/2" deep. The complete centrum would be at least 3-1/2"+ in length. Unfortunately only one centrum side was found. No repair or restoration.
