This three tooth set includes upper jaw anterior teeth from Carcharodon hastalis, Carcharodon hubbelli and Carcharodon carcharias. The C. hubbelli tooth has small serrations at the base of the cutting edge, transition to very fine serrations at mid crown and disappear towards the tip. No repair or restoration. An exceptional, EXTRA LARGE Scaldicetus sp., a Sperm whale, ear bone (Tympanic bulla) from Caldera area of Chile. An incredible late Miocene Sperm whale tooth from the Bahia Inglesa Fm. An August Fossil of the Month. This is the largest ear bone that I have seen - possibly from the giant Livyatan melvillei sperm whale? This ear bone (Tympanic bulla) is complete and incredibly high quality. The nicest and largest one that I have seen. 100% complete with a small amount of matrix on the back side. It has exceptional preservation, fantastic brown color, and is exceptionally clean. A HUGE, High Quality Aetomylaeus sp., an Eagle ray, mouth plate from Caldera area of Chile. An April Fossil of the Month. An excellent plate of pavement teeth from the lower jaw. This plate has good preservation, light brown color, and is exceptionally clean. Note - the bottom side of this specimen is completely matrix free - rare.
