"The Best of West Java". An ultra rare, TOP QUALITY Megalodon - upper jaw anterior tooth anterior from West Java, Indonesia. A May Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an excellent red-brown colored crown with incredible patterns and a red & gold colored bourlette ("tiger eye" pattern). Note - the darker brown shades arcing out towards the serrations - a display of the "fountain pattern" which is unique to West Java. I have never seen this color pattern in a Meg tooth before. Highest quality enamel. Fantastic color! The serrations are razor sharp with an excellent big tip serration and essentially complete. Incredible serrations for a BIG Meg tooth. The root is nicely articulated complete with some pits on the non-display side. Miocene Age. No repair or restoration. Authenticity Guaranteed. This Megalodon is an upper jaw anterior tooth from the Meherrin River copper-red site. Exceptional copper red color. The enamel is the highest quality.
