This Megalodon is a "picture Megalodon" an incredible tan, red-brown, and lavender color patterns with an excellent brown colored bourlette with a "tiger eye" pattern. Highest quality enamel. Exceptional color! The bourlette is large and 98% complete. The serrations are razor sharp and near complete with an excellent tip serration. Excellent serrations. The root is excellent - nicely articualted and with few shallow pits which is common for these Megs. Miocene Age. No repair or restoration. A special color collector's Meg tooth. A Top Quality Megalodon tooth from Georgia - an upper jaw Principal Anterior tooth. A March Fossil of the Month. The crown has excellent Reddish Brown color. The enamel is the Highest Quality with very small hydration cracks. A Large Mahogany Brown colored bourlette which is nearly complete. An EXTRA LARGE, TOP QUALITY Classic Lee Creek Chubutensis tooth - upper jaw ANTERIOR tooth from Aurora, No. Carolina. This Chubutensis has an excellent tan colored crown and a nice brown bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Great color! The serrations are large and razor sharp with a partially worn tip. The root is an excellent gray color and complete with one hydration crack. The root also exhibits grooves on the root ends. This Chubutensis was found in the Pungo River Formation, Lee Creek mine, NC (Miocene age = 14.5 MYA). A great example of a classic Lee Creek Chubutensis tooth and one of the best considering the shape, color, and preservation. A rare, BIG collector's tooth from the old days at Lee Creek mine!
