A LARGE, Top Quality Baena hatcheri - Baenidae Turtle shell, a Baenidae turtle, from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. A May Fossil of the Month. Baenidae were freshwater aquatic turtles that lived amongst the dinosaurs and are found in the Hell Creek formation. This shell has incredible surface quality with excellent color and patina. This shell is 100% complete (both the carapace & plastron), fully inflated, and nicely articulated.
