An EXTRA LARGE ultra rare, Top Quality Red Site Otodus megalodon tooth from the Meherrin River, North Carolina. An April Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon is a BIG upper jaw anterior tooth from the Meherrin River copper-red site. Excellent copper red color. The enamel is the highest quality. The serrations are large, razor sharp, and essentially complete with a good tip serration. Bourlette is extra large and brown - dentin layer. The root is wide & complete. A Miocene Meg tooth. Note - the front center strip of enamel was restored (high point of the tooth only). An old collection piece from the rarest location to find a top quality Megalodon tooth - rarer than Lee Creek, Peru, Bone Valley, etc. Authenticity guaranteed. I do not see many 6"+ Meherrin River Megalodon teeth!

This Megalodon has an excellent tan draped with light brown and brown colored bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Excellent color! The bourlette is large and 90% complete. The serrations are razor sharp and 100% complete with an excellent tip serration. Incredible serrations for a BIG Meg. The root is a light brown color, incredibly articulated, and complete with shallow pitting on the non-display side only. Miocene Age. No repair or restoration. Authenticity Guaranteed.
