A rare Top Quality Triceratops horridus dorsal vertebra from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. An April Fossil of the Month. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation which is known for three horns and a large frill protecting its neck. This is a dorsal vertebra with exceptional detail preserved with good color and patina. Complete specimen. You can see the vertebra surface is very rugous with a very round centra which are characteristics of Triceratops and distinguishes it from a Hadrosaur. Triceratops bones are more difficult to find. This specimen has some cracks filled. No restoration. It is extremely rare to find vertebra that are complete. Legally collected on private land in Harding Co., South Dakota. It comes with the stand (oak base) as shown. A fantastic fossil overall for display. Authenticity guaranteed. An excellent big Triceratops vertebra. An EXTRA LARGE, HIGH QUALITY Megalodon - upper jaw tooth from West Java, Indonesia. This Megalodon has an incredible light tan & red colored crown with a red brown colored extra large bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Excellent color! The serrations are razor sharp (100% complete) with an excellent tip serration. An EXTRA LARGE, GEM QUALITY Comura bultyncki trilobite. The collector's favorite spiny trilobite. A March Fossil of the Month. The preparation is German with all original colors and no restoration. Dozens of large spines fully exposed requiring many dozens of hours of air abrasion. One of the most difficult species to prepare. The Comura has very ornate spiny trilobite design with excellent compound eyes! Excellent shell and spine preservation. Large size. A scarce species! A rare, Top Quality Megalodon - upper jaw anterior tooth from West Java, Indonesia - new site. This Megalodon has an excellent dark tan & light brown colored tooth with a vivid light tan & brown stripped bourlette. Highest quality enamel. A LARGE, very rare Top Quality, Camptosaurus toe claw (pes claw). A March Fossil of the Month. Camtposaurus is a Jurassic ornithischian dinosaur related to the "duck bill" dinosaurs. It grew about 16 feet in length, and its name means "flexible lazard". It was a long-legged, bidel herbivore that relied on speed and agility to avoid predators. This Camptosaurus  toe claw measures 3-5/8". These claws resemble carnivore claws. Highest quality bone. Great rich dark brown color. Excellent overall condition. No repair or restoration with minor crack fill. Legally collected on private land in the Morrison Fm., Albany, Wyoming. Authenticity guaranteed. A fantastic specimen. You don't see these claws very often!
