An exceptional, EXTRA LARGE Scaldicetus sp., a Sperm whale, ear bone (Tympanic bulla) from Caldera area of Chile. An incredible late Miocene Sperm whale tooth from the Bahia Inglesa Fm. An August Fossil of the Month. This is the largest ear bone that I have seen - possibly from the giant Livyatan melvillei sperm whale? This ear bone (Tympanic bulla) is complete and incredibly high quality. A LARGE, Rare Basilosaurus isis premolar tooth from Morocco. Basilosaurus was in the Basilosauridae family of early whales. An August Fossil of the Month. Note - this tooth is a molar with no wear and a complete root. This material is a new find and represents an early transition form of the whale which was a fully aquatic carnivore. Note - the very tip of four side cusps were professionally restored in the US. This is an opportunity to own an incredibly rare specimen from an early evolutionary stage of the modern whale. Edmontosaurus is a very large hadrosaur or "duck-bill" dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. Bone quality is excellent. Nearly all of the fragile processes are intact!  Cracks filled. A rare Top Quality Edmontosaurus annectens lower jaw from the late Cretaceous of North America. This lower jaw (dentary) section is ~75% complete - missing the very back of the jaw which eroded away. The delicate front of the jaw is 100% complete. Edmontosaurus is a very large hadrosaur or "duck-bill" dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. They possessed ~300 teeth that were in columns of five teeth each which acted as conveyor belt to maintain a large chewing surface to cut and grind their food. Note - the three in the first photo were found with this jaw and they are placed. There are a couple of small teeth that are still attached to the jaw. Bone quality and color iis very good. Cracks are stabilized in this jaw. No restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Harding Co., So. Dakota. A Top Quality Allodesmus kernensis, primitive sea lion, jaw section with three teeth from the Sharktooth Hill area, near Bakersfield, California. An October Fossil of the Month.
