An ultra rare, Top Quality Struthiomimus altus hand (manus) claw from the late Cretaceous of North America. A November Fossil of the Month.  Struthiomimus is a long legged, bipedal, toothless dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. The Struthiomimus means "ostrich mimic" which best describes this species. Exceptional bone quality and color. Excellent bone preservation. The tip was repaired which is quite common for claws. Legally collected on private land in the Judith River Fm., Hill Co., Montana. An excellent collector's quality Struthiomimus manus claw.  Authenticity guaranteed. A Top Quality Edmontosaurus annectens tail (caudal) vertebra with process from the late Cretaceous of North America. A May Fossil of the Month. Edmontosaurus is a very large hadrosaur or "duck-bill" dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. Bone quality is excellent. Processes are intact. Some crack fill. No restoration. A LARGE, Top Quality Pachychephalosaurus wyomingensis pes ungual (foot claw) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. An April Fossil of the Month. Pachychephalosaurus is the dinosaur which is famous for its large domed head surrounded by spikes. This ungual has exceptional color and patina. Overall an excellect pes ungual. Note - this ungual exbibits the "Pachy twist " (see Pachy ungual differentiation discussion below). No repair or restoration. An ultra rare Pachy pes ungual! Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Powder River Co., Montana. An ultra rare, Top Quality Edestus heinrichi associted pair of whorls, from Herrin, Illinois. A July Fossil of the Month. This is a Paleozoic shark that lived in swamps that our now underground coal deposits. An ultra rare assoiiated pair of tooth whorls. Note - the crown tips are naturally rounded (polished)  which thought to be due to wear from the vertical whipping motion used to slice prey. Excellent preservation, serrations, and serration detail. The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. Research showed that they could use their opposing teeth in a scissor-like motion or a vertical whipping motion to cut prey. It is the first animal to cut vertically. A very strange looking and unique acting shark. Shark recreation image is credited to Julio Lacerdo. These rare teeth are Pennsylvanian age from Illinois. An ultra rare, TOP QUALITY Spheniscus megaramphus , Penguin skull from the Bahia Iglesa Fm. of central Chile. A March Fossil of the Month. An excellent, large skull and beak. An EXTRA LARGE, High Quality Ankylosaurus osteoderm (bony armor plate) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. An August Fossil of the Month. Ankylosaurus and Denversaurus, a Nodosaur, were the two Ankylosaurs present in the Hell Creek and Lance Creek Formations.  A complete body osteoderm plate from an adult Ankylosaurus.
