Dinosaur Bones & Claws

An ultra rare, Top Quality Trierarchuncus prairiensis, an Alvarezsaurid dinosaur, hand (manus) claw from the Hell Creek Fm. of SE Montana. Trierarchuncus prairiensis means the "Captian Hook" since they possessed a single claw on each arm. An excellent manus claw with rich brown color and patina. This specimen has incredible preservation - no pitting, nicks or wear. All surfaces are excellent - rare. Note - this claw is missing some of the proximal. A rare, Top Quality Anzu wyliei caudal (tail) vertebra from the Hell Creek Fm. of Montana. Anzu is referred to as the "Chicken from Hell". An excellent vertebra. Excellent light brown color and patina. This specimen has excellent perservation. Note - the open cell structure of this theropod vertabra. Also note the large pneumatic fossa on the sides - an Anzu vertebra trait. There is a segment of tendon fossilized with this vertebra. A Quality Ankylosaurus osteoderm (bony armor plate) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Ankylosaurus magniventris was the largest Ankylosaur which grew to 30 feet and 17000 pounds, and a body covered with this bony armor. A complete body osteoderm plate from a juvenile Ankylosaurus. The bone is excellent quality with excellent color and patina with some stream erosion. No cracks or restoration. An incredible, very rare Carcharodontosaurus Pes (toe) claw from the Kem Kem deposits of Morocco. A massive pes claw - bigger than most. Please note that there are minimal breaks and no restoration. Natural color and surfaces. It is difficult to find a better example without heavy restoration. Proximal end is well preserved. This claw is 1-5/8" wide and 1-1/4" thick. This claw is big & fat, and much better quality than most. No restoration. Remember if it looks too good, it is probably a fake! A very rare dinosaur claw! A fantastic opportunity to own a very rare, large Cretaceous theropod claw for less than $1000. The real deal! A LARGE, Top Quality Edmontosaurus annectens toe from the late Cretaceous of North America. Edmontosaurus is a very large hadrosaur or "duck-bill" dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. This is a non-associated set of toe bones from the outer toe (toe IV - see diagram), and it consists of four four toe bones (Phalanx 1 thru 4) and a pes hoof core (ungual). Bone quality is excellent with minor crack fill on Phalanx 1 & 2 only. Other pieces are perfect including an exceptional pes ungual. No restoration. A Top Quality Edmontosaurus annectens lower jaw section from the late Cretaceous of North America. An August Fossil of the Month. Edmontosaurus is a very large hadrosaur or "duck-bill" dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. They possessed ~300 teeth that were in columns of five teeth each which acted as conveyor belt to maintain a large chewing surface to cut and grind their food. This specimen is a large section of the lower jaw showing at least 20 teeth still in place. Bone quality is excellent with no cracks. No restoration. A Top Quality, Rare Pachychephalosaurus wyomingensis node cluster from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. An August Fossil of the Month. Pachychephalosaurus is the dinosaur which is famous for its large domed head surrounded by these spikes and nodes (2+ nodes). This spike has excellent color / patina with exceptional surface articulation. The blood grooves are still present in the bone. It is a complete specimen with no cracks or breaks. This is a node cluster with a large node surrounded by a group of small nodes. A Top Quality, Triceratops horridus brow horn from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. A February 2021 Fossil of the Month. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek and Lance Creek formations. This is a special horn with exceptional detail preserved and exceptional color / patina. You can see all of the natural blood grooves around the surface of the horn. The preparation of the horn was fairly basic and simple - some cracks filled and a small area around the tip was restored. This is very minimal restoration for a horn. It comes with the welded steel stand as shown. A fantastic fossil overall. Legally collected on private land in the Lance Creek Fm., Lusk, Wyoming. A rare EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Edmontosaurus annectens hoof core (toe or pes ungual) from the late Cretaceous of North America. An August Fossil of the Month. Edmontosaurus is a very large hadrosaur or "duck-bill" dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. This is a toe hoof core from a massive Edmontosaurus. It is from the center toe - toe III. The largest one that I have seen! The Edmontosaurus was bipedal and had much larger feet relative to hands. Bone quality is excellent. No repair or restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Dawson Co. Montana. A rare collector's quality Edmontosaurus pes hoof core.  Authenticity guaranteed.
