Ankylosaurs

A rare, Top Quality pair of associated Denversaurus osteoderms (bony armor plate)  from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. An August Fossil of the Month. Ankylosaurus and Denversaurus, a Nodosaur, were the two Ankylosaurs present in the Hell Creek and Lance Creek Formations.  Two complete, associated osteoderms from the Nodosaur neck area (see photo of the HMNS Denversaurus skeleton). One osteoderm is a keel type and the second osteoderm is a peripherial edge type. You won't see these osteoderms very often. The bone is very good quality with great color and patina. Some crack fill. No restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Lance Creek Fm., Converse Co., Wyoming. Authenticity guaranteed. A GEM Quality Zuul crurivastator, an Ankylosaur, osteoderm or scute (bony armor plate) from the late Cretaceous of North America. An August Fossil of the Month. This Campanian age Ankylosaur grew to 20 feet and 6000 pounds, and a body covered with this bony armor. The bone exhibits exceptional quality with excellent color and patina. This osteoderm also has a high ridge on one side and a moderately concave base.  A couple of very small hydrations cracks only. No restoration. A LARGE, Top Quality Denversaurus schlessmani  tooth from the late Cretaceous of North America. Denversaurus schlessmani was the large Nodosaur which grew to 20 feet and 6000 pounds. The enamel is excellent quality with excellent color / patina.
