A Top Quality, Rare Pachychephalosaurus wyomingensis head spike from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Pachychephalosaurus is the dinosaur which is famous for its large domed head surrounded by these spikes and nodes. These spikes and nodes were part of the Pachy skull. This juvenile Pachy skull spike has excellent color and patina. Note the large blood grooves in the bone. It is a complete skull spike specimen. Note - the very tip was professionally restored. Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Powder River Co., Montana. An excellent collector's quality Pachychephalosaurus node. An EXTRA LARGE TOP QUALITY, very rare Basilosaurus cetoides, an Archaeocete whale tooth found in the Suwanee River, Suwanee Co., Florida. An excellent canine tooth (see photo for tooth positions). A July Fossil of the Month. An excellent brown colored crown and root. Nicely articulated. Note - enamel tip shows a wear pattern on crown. Whales do not shed their teeth like the sharks so there teeth will wear with age. A Top Quality, rare Triceratops horridus epijugal (jugal spike) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek and Lance Creek formations which is know for the large frill protecting its neck. Triceratops had a spike on its cheek which is called the jugal "spike" (see photo). This jugal spike has exceptional detail preserved and great color / patina. An EXTRA LARGE, TOP QUALITY Nanotyrannus lancensis tooth from the western US. An October Fossil of the Month. This tooth measures 2-1/4" (straight line). The enamel is excellent quality. The posterior serrations are exceptional and anterior serrations are excellent. A wide tooth with an extra large rectangular base with a typical Nano "pinched rectangle" cross-section.
