A TOP QUALITY, EXTRA LARGE & very rare Archaeocete whale, Zygorhiza kochii, from Harleyville, So. Carolina. Our 2nd November Fossil of the Month is a highly desirable Zygorhiza molar or "yoke" tooth.  An exceptional chocolate brown colored crown and tan root. The crown has fantastic articulation with incredible detail. Complete root. This tooth has minimal repair to tips of the 3 cusps on the left side only. Very little repair overall for a yoke tooth which are typically heavily repaired.  One of the BEST Archaeocete molars that I have seen from So. Carolina in a long time. A very rare collector's tooth. Museum Quality.  Note - 6" x 8" Riker frame included. One of my favorites!

A rare Top Quality, BIG CLASSIC Chile Megalodon tooth from the phosphate layer, Bahia Inglesa Fm., Caldera area, Chile. This tooth is nicely displayed on its original phosphorite matrix. Note - the pebbly phosphorite makes an interesting base which elevates the tip about 15 degress for a great display. A gorgeous light tan colored crown with no enamel peel. High quality enamel with very light mineral staining (as shown). The bourlette is an excellent deep mahogany brown color, large and 85% complete. The serrations are razor sharp and complete with an excellent tip serration. The root is rich red-brown color, extra wide (5") with excellent surface articulation, and 100% complete. Fantastic color. Exceptional "eye appeal". Great symmetry. No repair or restoration. A Museum Quality BIG Chilean Megalodon tooth from the old days! Note - these incredible BIG Chilean collector's Megs simply do not exist any more! Great display. Authenticity guaranteed. A rare, TOP QUALITY Megatherium americanum sloth claw from an extinct genus of giant ground sloths from the Pampean region, Uruguay. A March Fossil of the Month. Megatherium is from the family of the largest Ground sloths. This claw has excellent preservation. It is complete down to an excellent tip with essentially no restoration or repair. There appears to be a 1.5” area of the top of the sheath rim on the back side that may have minor restoration (see photo - a small area). Excellent preservation of the proximal end. An incredible massive Late Pliocene - Early Pleistocene display piece from Uruguay. Authenticity guaranteed. A fantastic Pleistocene giant ground sloth claw specimen. A rare Museum Quality specimen from a rare site. One of my favorites! Comes with a steel stand.

An Ultra Rare, Extra Large Pappocetus lugardi (Andrews, 1920) incisor tooth from Morocco. This material is a new find and represents one of the earliest transition forms of the whale. Pappocetus is a protocetid (see discussion below) and a large amphibious aquatic carnivore. Pappocetus is also an ancestor of the Basilosaurus. This material is complete and without repair. Crack fill only on some pieces. This is an opportunity to own an incredibly rare specimen from an early evolutionary stage of the modern whale. Perfect tooth. A fantastic collector's specimen.
