Troodontid teeth are known for their very unique shaped teeth with unusually large distal serrations. An EXTRA LARGE, VERY RARE, Top Quality, rooted Leptoceratops gracilis tooth from the late Cretaceous of western North America. Leptoceratops is a smaller "ceratopsian" dinosaur found in the Hell Creek and Lance formations. There small size and small horns made them relatively easy prey and their population size was quite small compared to other herbivores. The enamel is high quality with nice color and patina. The chewing surface is well preserved with an unusual rounded wear facet. Leptoceratops commonly have wear facets on their teeth.  No cracks. No restoration. Note - this tooth is a canine with a large natural wear facet. This material is a new find and represents one of the earliest transition forms of the whale. Pappocetus is a protocetid (see discussion below) and a large amphibious aquatic carnivore. A fantastic, top quality, Mammuthus primigenius, Wooly Mammoth tooth from Siberia. This tooth is a manageable size for most collectors at 5-1/4”  x 4-1/2" straight line measurement.
