A Rare, Extra Large Crotalcephalus aff. africanus trilobite. Another November Fossil of the Month. This is a BIG trilobite with a very unique design including long spines on the pygidium. This species appears to be armored or designed to blend into its environment for protection. Incredible shell and spine preservation and incredible size for this rare species! A Devonian sea floor slab with a Eldredgops (Phacops) rana milleri trilobite from the Silica Shale Formation of Ohio. The also three large pyrite replaced Paraspirifer bownockeri brachiopods, three Mucrospirifer mucronatus brachiopods, and other specimens. The Eldredgops has excellent detail on the compound eyes - very well preserved. The quality of the Silica Shale Fm. fossils are incredible. A rare sea floor specimen from the Middle Devonian (380 mya), Silica Shale Fm. from Lucas Co., Ohio. You don't see multi-species slabs for sale. A Museum Quality specimen. An ultra rare, top quality 5-3/4" Sharktooth Hill Megalodon tooth found in the Round Mountain Silt near Bakersfield, California. A location that produces very few Megalodon teeth and one of the toughest Megs to locate. This tooth was found in the Ernst West quarry. An October Fossil of the Month.  This Megalodon tooth has the highest quality enamel with a great Blue & Tan color. The bourlette is a brown color and nearly complete. The root is nicely articulated and complete. The serrations are complete with a good tip serration - incredible serrations for a large Sharktooth Hill Meg tooth! This is a middle Miocene Meg. Note - the grooves on the root ends and the small root "ears" at the top of the root - a Miocene Meg tooth feature!  Note - a 3/8" enamel section pooped off and was reattached on the right side (1/2" from the root). You do not see large middle Miocene Sharktooth Hill Megs from Bakersfield, California very often. One of the rarest Megs! Authenticity guaranteed. An incredible Museum Quality Sharktooth Hill Megalodon tooth that came out of a 25 year old old collection!  A custom display stand is included. A GEM, 6" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth - ANTERIOR tooth. Our March 2017 Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an incredible light golden tan colored crown with an exceptional white bourlette and mostly complete. Highest quality enamel. Exceptional golden tan color! The bourlette is huge and near perfect. The serrations are razor sharp with an exceptional tip serration. Nearly PERFECT serrations (2-3 serrations damaged near the base  - all serrations are razor sharp. Exceptional serrations for a really big Meg! The root is an excellent white color with few no hydration cracks and complete. This Megalodon was found in the Pungo River Formation, Lee Creek mine, NC (Miocene age = 14.5 MYA). The finest example of a 6" classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth that I have seen considering the shape, color, and preservation. An exceptional collector's XXL LC tooth from the old days at Lee Creek mine! Museum Quality Megalodon. You rarely see a GEM or any 6" Lee Creek Megalodon teeth offered for sale.
