A VERY RARE, LARGE Top Quality, Leptoceratops gracilis "spitter"  tooth from the late Cretaceous of western North America. Leptoceratops is a smaller "ceratopsian" dinosaur found in the Hell Creek and Lance formations. There small size and small horns made them relatively easy prey and their population size was quite small compared to other herbivores. The enamel is high quality with nice color and patina. The chewing surface is fairly well preserved. No cracks. No restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Powder River Co., Montana. An EXTRA LARGE scarce Top Quality, Isurus retroflexus, the Longfin Mako shark tooth (upper jaw anterior tooth) from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. This tooth has a rich tan crown and a brown colored root. Excellent colors!  Sharp cutting edge. The rear top of root has a "shoulder" build up, a characteristic of Isurus retroflexus. An ultra rare, Top Quality Red Site Otodus megalodon tooth from the Meherrin River, North Carolina. This Megalodon is a lower jaw anterior tooth from the Meherrin River copper-red site. A TOP QUALITY, 3" Classic Lee Creek Chubutensis tooth (predecessor of Megalodon) - ANTERIOR tooth. This Chubutensis has an incredible light tan colored crown with a light brown bourlette. Highest quality enamel with a few hydration cracks. Excellent color! The bourlette is excellent. The serrations are razor sharp - near perfect with needle-like tip serration. A GEM, Lee Creek Carcharocles chubutensis, a C. megalodon predecessor, from Aurora, No. Carolina. This tooth was given the name the "Oreo Chub" with its black and white bourlette. Very rare colors for Lee Creek. A May Fossil of the Month. This tooth was found in the Pungo River Formation (middle Miocene age). Note the crown exhibits large cusplike bumps at the base of the serrated edge and the root ends also show grooves where the teeth interlocked. These are characteristic traits of the Lee Creek early Meg - C. chubutensis. A gorgeous tan &  blue colored crown with an incredible black & white bourlette. Fantastic serrations with a nearly perfect with damage to one. The root is dark brown with small hydration cracks. Highest quality enamel! Excellent color! No repair or restoration.
