A natural Hoploscaphites nodosus ammonite and a Nautilus (Eutrephoceras) with excellent preservation of the shell material. A December Fossil of the Month. This ammonite species exhibits big ribs with large tubercles (nodes). Both ammonites are nicely displayed on their original Pierre Shale matrix with a flat base. Matrix size is 4.5" x 2.5". A rare, Top Quality Megalodon - upper jaw anterior tooth from West Java, Indonesia - new site. This Megalodon has an incredible tan color tooth with an excellent brown colored bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Excellent color! The bourlette is large and 98% complete. The serrations are razor sharp and near complete with an excellent tip serration. Very good serrations. An Ultra Rare, Top Quality 5" Sharktooth Hill Megalodon tooth found in the Round Mountain Silt near Bakersfield, California. A location that produces very few Megalodon teeth and one of the toughest Megs to locate. A November 2020 Fossil of the Month. This tooth is still embeded in its original Round Mountain silt matrix. Highest quality enamel with a super rare, natural solid WHITE color. This tooth is truly white, and the color is not due to mineralization or sun bleaching. The bourlette is a white color and complete. The serrations are extra large and 100% complete (please note that 1/8" of the tip was professionally restored). An Ultra Rare, Top Quality 4-3/4" Sharktooth Hill Megalodon tooth found in the Round Mountain Silt near Bakersfield, California. A location that produces very few Megalodon teeth and one of the toughest Megs to locate. A March 2021 Fossil of the Month. This tooth is still embedded in its original Round Mountain silt matrix block with a large whale bone. The whale bone is 7" long and 1.5" wide. Highest quality enamel with an excellent tan color. The bourlette is a tan color and 85% complete. The serrations are extra large and 100% complete. The root is nicely articulated and complete. Also note the grooves on the root ends - a Miocene trait.
