A very rare, early Otodus pavlovi upper jaw, lateral tooth from Aktulagay, western Kazakhstan. Otodus pavlovi was the smaller Otodus shark species present in this early Eocene deposit. The side cusps are large and complete. Exhibits no serrations. A very rare, early Macrorhizodus nolfi upper jaw, anterior tooth from Aktulagay, western Kazakhstan. Macrorhizodus nolfi is a Lamnidae shark and an early Mako shark (Isurus praecursor) relative in this early Eocene deposit. These teeth exhibit very good color, gloss, and preservation. A rare, early Eocene Macrorhizodus nolfi tooth. No repair. A LARGE Chubutensis - upper jaw tooth on its original sandstone matrix. Gorgeous variegated brown, tan & gray colored enamel with no peel. Incredible color! Good side cusps.  Extra sharp serrations are incredible. The bourlette is a brown color and essentially complete. The root is excellent red brown color, nicely articulated, and complete with essentially no hydration cracks. Matrix size is 3" x 2-3/4". No repair. An excellent, extra large Peruvian Chub tooth!

The October 2015 Week #2 FOTM is a rare, TOP QUALITY North Carolina Carcharocles megalodon. An excellent tooth from the copper-red site. It has an incredible copper-red colored crown. The enamel is the highest possible quality with small hydration cracks. A nice dark brown bourlette. Exceptional serrations and tip - one serration missing. Incredible condition for a big NC Meg.
