A rare, TOP QUALITY Megatherium americanum sloth claw from an extinct genus of giant ground sloths from the Pampean region, Uruguay. A March Fossil of the Month. Megatherium is from the family of the largest Ground sloths. This claw has excellent preservation. It is complete down to an excellent tip with essentially no restoration or repair. There appears to be a 1.5” area of the top of the sheath rim on the back side that may have minor restoration (see photo - a small area). Excellent preservation of the proximal end. A very rare MASSIVE, High Quality  4-1/4" Tyrannosaurus rex  maxillary  tooth. A January Fossil of the Month. The enamel has a good color and patina. Good mesial and distal serrations. Base cross-section is a tall oval - very wide (1-9/16"). A thick and heavy tooth. There is some root etching, small crack fill, and a couple of small spots repaired near the base (see final photo). No restoration. 100% natural. A top quality BIG tooth top! T-Rex was the apex during the late Cretaceous with massive teeth capable of crushing its prey.
