Tyrannosaurus rex
A very rare MASSIVE, Top Quality 4-1/4" Tyrannosaurus rex maxillary tooth. A January Fossil of the Month. The enamel has an good color and patina. Good mesial and distal serrations. Base cross-section is a tall oval - very wide (1-9/16"). There is some rot etching, small crack fill, and a couple of small spot repaired near the base (see final photo). No restoration. 100% natural. A top quality BIG tooth top! T-Rex was the apex during the late Cretaceous with massive teeth capable of crushing its prey.
