An incredible Top Quality Megalodon tooth from Georgia and a June 2018 Fossil of the Month. The crown has a fantastic charcoal gray with light gray and black serrations. The crown also has a very unique wide” spade-like” shape. The enamel is the Highest Quality; glass-like with few hydration cracks! An exceptional, extra large black bourlette – nearly perfect. A Top Quality Tyrannosaurus rex tooth. This is a large Premaxillary tooth ("Premax") or front tooth in the jaw which have a "D" shape. An October Fossil of the Month. This Premax Rex crown measures 2-3/16" and is very thick for its size (1"). The enamel is highest quality. Great rich chocolate brown color. The serrations are exceptional going to the tip. There is essentially no wear facet at the tip which is not typical for a Premax tooth. One small crack, but no break. No repair or restoration. A GEM Chubutensis tooth from the Miocene of Georgia. A Gray and Tan colored Chub tooth with a root beer colored bourlette and a brown root. Fantastic colors! The enamel is the Highest Quality with mirror-like gloss and only a single small hydration crack. An exceptional  bourlette with no peel and essentially perfect. A LARGE, Rare Basilosaurus isis premolar tooth from Morocco. Basilosaurus was in the Basilosauridae family of early whales. An August Fossil of the Month. An ultra rare, Thalassocnus, a Swimming Sloth, tooth from the Bahia Inglesia Formation, Copiapo, Chile. A May Fossil of the Month. This sloth lived on the west coast of So. An ultra rare, Top Quality Trierarchuncus prairiensis, an Alvarezsaurid dinosaur, hand (manus) claw from the Hell Creek Fm. of SE Montana. Trierarchuncus prairiensis means the "Captian Hook" since they possessed a single claw on each arm. An excellent manus claw with rich brown color and patina. This specimen has incredible preservation - no pitting, nicks or wear. All surfaces are excellent - rare. Note - this claw is missing some of the proximal. An Ultra Rare Pappocetus lugardi (Andrews, 1920) canine tooth from Morocco. Pappocetus was in the Protocetidae family of ancient whales . Note - this tooth is a canine with a large natural wear facet. This material is a new find and represents one of the earliest transition forms of the whale. Pappocetus is a protocetid (see discussion below) and a large amphibious aquatic carnivore. Pappocetus is also an ancestor of the Basilosaurus. This material is complete and without repair. A rare, Top Quality Triceratops horridus rooted tooth from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Another July 2018 Fossil of the Month. Triceratops is a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. The enamel is excellent quality with excellent color / patina. Extra large root which is quite rare. Incredible preservation of the crown and root that shows their intricate detail. The chewing surface measures 1-1/14” with a very high ridge.
