A rare EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Heterodontus dorsal spine - the Horn shark from the Sharktooth Hill area, near Bakersfield, California. This big spine specimen is still attached to its original Round Mountain silt matrix with a 2-1/4" whale ear bone. These Heterodontus spines only occasionally fossilize and they are quite rare. A great defensive weapon for the Horn shark! No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. The Sharktooth deposits produce the largest and best fossil Horn shark spines. An ultra rare, Top Quality Parotodus benedeni (False Mako) shark tooth from the Crawford River Valley, Greenwald, Victoria, Australia. A May Fossil of the Month. Incredible color and preservation. Complete tooth. This tooth is Late Early Miocene (Upper Longfordian) from the Wataepoolan Limestone Fm.  A rare collector's Parotodus benedeni  tooth. No repair or restoration. A gorgeous Quenstedticeras lamberti ammonite from the Saratov region of Russia. Incredible pyrite replaced ammonite with a crystal lined interior. This ammonite has natural irredescent crystal colors - very nice. Excellent pyrite crystals!  Middle Jurassic age. Authenticity guaranteed. Note - supply of these pyrite ammonites stopped in 2011. An ULTRA RARE Top Quality, 6-1/4" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth - upper jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. A February Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an incredible light tan colored crown with brown bourlette, and light tan root. Highest quality enamel. Fantastic color!  The serrations are razor sharp and essentially complete including an excellent tip serration. Incredible serrations for a BIG Megalodon tooth. The bourlette has a nice contrast -  mostly dentin layer. The root is nicely articulated and complete with an excellent light tan color. It is also wide (4-5/8") with essentially no hydration cracks. This Megalodon was found in the Yorktown Formation, Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina (Pliocene age = 4.5 MYA). An excellent BIG collector's tooth from the old days at Lee Creek mine! No reapir or restroration. A 100% natural tooth. Authenticity guaranteed. A killer BIG Lee Creek Meg tooth from the "old days".
