This is a natural matrix specimen sitting with many whale bones in the original Round Mountain Silt matrix block. The large whale bone at base is 5-3/4" x 3". Plus there are four more whale bones and a shark vertebra exposed in this matrix block. This is a 100% natural matrix piece - nothing added or glued. 100% natural. An ULTRA RARE, MONSTER Great White shark transition tooth, Carcharodon hubbelli from Chile. A BIG upper jaw lateral tooth. A June Fossil of the Month. This tooth has a tan colored crown, a distinct gum line, and a brown root. Good color! Highest quality enamel with little hydration cracks and no peeling. This C. hubbelli tooth has medium serrations at the base of the cutting edge, transition to fine serrations at mid crown and disappear towards the tip. Serrations are large at the base with a good tip serration. The root is extra wide. Note - the root root lobe was cracked and probably reatttached - hard to see. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. No repair or restoration. An exceptional Great White transition form!  It will be extremely difficult to locate Carcharodon hubbelli. A super rare collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed.

A rare, Extra Large Top Quality Miocene-Pliocene Mastodon molar from Chatham Co., Georgia. This is an extinct elephant ancestor that inhabited North America during the late Miocene to late Pliocene. This molar is  big with 4.5 cusp rows with essentially no cusp wear. So, this is a recently erupted or unerupted tooth. Cusps are 1-3/4" high. Exceptional articulation. Excellent black color! An incredible Top Quality Megalodon tooth from Georgia and a June 2018 Fossil of the Month. The crown has a fantastic charcoal gray with light gray and black serrations. The crown also has a very unique wide” spade-like” shape. The enamel is the Highest Quality; glass-like with few hydration cracks! An exceptional, extra large black bourlette – nearly perfect. Razor sharp serrations including an exceptional tip serration. Nearly perfect serrations! The root is nicely articulated, brown colored, and complete. This Georgia Meg is very special – a real “looker”. Definitely a Miocene age Meg tooth with small Chubutensis like bumps at the base of the crown and grooves along the edge of the root lobes. Note - these Georgia Megs are fantastic - essentially no sign of wear and excellent preservation.
