A scarce Top Quality, Isurus retroflexus, the Longfin Mako shark tooth (upper jaw lateral tooth) from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. This tooth has a rich blue & tan crown and a brown colored root. Excellent colors!  Sharp cutting edge. The rear top of root has a "shoulder" build up, a characteristic of Isurus retroflexus. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. It is a Miocene tooth from the Pungo River Fm. An excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed. A difficult tooth to source.

A TOP QUALITY, 5-3/4" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth - upper jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth from Aurora, No. Carolina. A May Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an incredible light tan colored crown with a large brown colored bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Fantastic color! The crown is very wide (4-9/16") - incredible! The bourlette is excellent, extra large and 99% perfect. The serrations are razor sharp with an excellent tip serration (they will cut your hand). Super serrations for a larger Meg tooth - razor sharp! The root is an excellent tan color with small hydration cracks and complete. This Megalodon was found in the Yorktown Formation, Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina (Pliocene age = 4.5 MYA). One of the finest examples of a BIG Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth considering the shape, color, and preservation. An exceptional collector's tooth from the old days at Lee Creek mine! A Top Quality Otodus sokolovi tooth from Harleyville, So. Carolina. Otodus sokolovi is the ancestor of O. auriculatus. An excellent lateral tooth. An excellent gray colored crown with a brown colored bourlette, and a light tan colored root. Highest quality enamel. Excellent color & preservation. The serrations are large and razor sharp including the tip. Two large side cusps. The root is complete and very well preserved. Note - there is an unusual iron oxide coating on this tooth. It is very hard to find these teeth in perfect condition. An excellent collector's Harleyville O. sokolovi tooth! Authenticity guaranteed. Near perfect tooth. Another well known shark tooth site that is no longer accessible to collectors.
