An incredible Top Quality Megalodon tooth from Georgia and a June 2018 Fossil of the Month. The crown has a fantastic charcoal gray with light gray and black serrations. The crown also has a very unique wide” spade-like” shape. The enamel is the Highest Quality; glass-like with few hydration cracks! An exceptional, extra large black bourlette – nearly perfect. Razor sharp serrations including an exceptional tip serration. Nearly perfect serrations! The root is nicely articulated, brown colored, and complete. This Georgia Meg is very special – a real “looker”. Definitely a Miocene age Meg tooth with small Chubutensis like bumps at the base of the crown and grooves along the edge of the root lobes. Note - these Georgia Megs are fantastic - essentially no sign of wear and excellent preservation. You would think that these Georgia teeth were collected from a land site with the degree of perfection that they exhibit. A near Perfect Meg tooth. An exceptional collector's Megalodon tooth from Georgia. A FANTASTIC polished display piece with two exposed EXTRA LARGE ammonites and an orthoceras. A third ammonite is also exposed when viewed from the top. All showing the intricate internal chamber structure.The rock matrix is a beautiful marble material and the Ammonite cavities are mineral filled! These ammonites and orthoceras are beautifully polished. This display measures  8"  x  14" and weighs 12 pounds. You rarely see top quality, extra large ammonites and Orthoceras in the same matrix block. An incredible, rarely seen display item!

An Ultra Rare, Top Quality Sharktooth Hill Megalodon tooth from Pyramid Hill, Kern County, California. A location that produces very few Megalodon teeth and one of the toughest Megs to locate. A February Fossil of the Month. Highest quality enamel with a great brown and charcoal colors. The bourlette is a tan color and is nearly complete. The serrations are extra large & sharp and complete with a big tip serration. The root is nicely articulated and complete. Note the large grooves on the root ends - an early Miocene trait. This is a rare early Miocene (22 MYA) Meg from the Jewitt Sand Fm.- very unique! You never see these early Miocene Megs from Bakersfield, California. One of the rarest Megs! No repair or restoration.
