An Ultra Rare, Top Quality 4-3/4" Sharktooth Hill Megalodon tooth found in the Round Mountain Silt near Bakersfield, California. A location that produces very few Megalodon teeth and one of the toughest Megs to locate. A March 2021 Fossil of the Month. This tooth is still embedded in its original Round Mountain silt matrix block with a large whale bone. The whale bone is 7" long and 1.5" wide. Highest quality enamel with an excellent tan color. The bourlette is a tan color and 85% complete. The serrations are extra large and 100% complete. The root is nicely articulated and complete. Also note the grooves on the root ends - a Miocene trait. This is a middle Miocene Meg - very unique! Note - This is a 100% natural matrix block with nothing added or glued. No repair or restoration other the very tip. You will not see these middle Miocene Sharktooth Hill Megs from Bakersfield, California very often. Authenticity guaranteed. A LARGE,  Top Quality Elosuchus(?) crocodile scute from the Kem Kem region of Morocco. Note - This is a center ridge scute with a raised center line. Incredible detail and color. This is a complete scute ("body armor") which is most likely from the dominate crocodile for the region - Elosuchus. The crocodile scute is Mid Cretaceous epoch, Cenomanian stage (96 million years ago). No repair or restoration. An exceptional collector's scute. Authenticity guaranteed. A rare late Jurassic sauropod limb bone section from the Morrison Fm. with bite marks. This is most likely a Camarasaurus tibia end section.  There is a tooth rake and a wedge cut shown in photos #3 & 4. Photo #5 shows a circular puncture of the bone. Camarasaurus was a mid- sized Jurassic sauropod.. Great rich brown gray color. Excellent bone quality. Note - sauropods had hollow bones with air sacs to reduce their weight. A VERY RARE Top Quality, rooted Leptoceratops gracilis tooth from the late Cretaceous of western North America. Leptoceratops is a smaller "ceratopsian" dinosaur found in the Hell Creek and Lance formations. There small size and small horns made them relatively easy prey and their population size was quite small compared to other herbivores. The enamel is high quality with nice color and patina. The chewing surface is very well preserved. This tooth has little wear overall with one wear facet on the reverse side.. Leptoceratops commonly have wear facets on their teeth.  No cracks.
