A Top Quality, Triceratops horridus shed tooth or "spitter" tooth with a large crown ridge from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Triceratops is a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. The enamel is excellent quality with nice color / patina. This tooth is commonly called a "spitter" tooth as it was worn out, released, and replaced. No cracks. No restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Carter Co., Montana. An ULTRA RARE, Top Quality 6-1/16" Caribbean Megalodon tooth - a upper jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. An October Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon tooth has an incredible very light tan colored crown with charcoal and red-brown highlights. Highest quality enamel with very small hydration cracks. The bourlette is white colored and complete. The Caribbean Megalodon teeth consistently offer the closest to white colored enamel. Fantastic color! The serrations are razor sharp and complete. Excellent serrations overall. The root is a golden tan color, has no hydration cracks, and iscomplete. Note - this tooth has 1/2" of professional restoration of a saw cut  located 5/8" below the tip on the right side (typical for these teeth). Otherwise a perfect tooth. Great symmetry. This Megalodon was found in a commercial limestone quarry in the Caribbean (Miocene age). This is an incredibly colored Caribbean Megalodon tooth.
