An ULTRA RARE, Top Quality 6-1/16" Caribbean Megalodon tooth - a upper jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. An October Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon tooth has an incredible very light tan colored crown with charcoal and red-brown highlights. Highest quality enamel with very small hydration cracks. The bourlette is white colored and complete. The Caribbean Megalodon teeth consistently offer the closest to white colored enamel. Fantastic color! The serrations are razor sharp and complete. Excellent serrations overall. The root is a golden tan color, has no hydration cracks, and iscomplete. Note - this tooth has 1/2" of professional restoration of a saw cut  located 5/8" below the tip on the right side (typical for these teeth). Otherwise a perfect tooth. Great symmetry. This Megalodon was found in a commercial limestone quarry in the Caribbean (Miocene age). This is an incredibly colored Caribbean Megalodon tooth. A Top Quality, Triceratops horridus brow horn from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. A February 2021 Fossil of the Month. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek and Lance Creek formations. This is a special horn with exceptional detail preserved and exceptional color / patina. You can see all of the natural blood grooves around the surface of the horn. The preparation of the horn was fairly basic and simple - some cracks filled and a small area around the tip was restored. This is very minimal restoration for a horn. It comes with the welded steel stand as shown. A fantastic fossil overall. Legally collected on private land in the Lance Creek Fm., Lusk, Wyoming.
